Where Sarah Drove

6/30/12

Today I drove a lot! It was a bit scary for sometimes, but it worked out AWESOME!!
Check out the Link to Google Maps and look at the route I took! The dark blue is where it overlapped. Today was the first day I met a stop light, but it all went well. :) I even stopped by Leah's house when we drove past and we wrote a letter to Hannah! :D It was fun. I wasn't too sure about going onto Yew Street Road, because I went there yesterday and it felt too tight and uncomfortable for me. But today, although it was a different direction, it felt better. And according to Google Maps, I almost went 10 miles! :D
'Later!

Update *de nos vies*!

Update of our lives! heheh

Chapter One: Kalaloch.
I wake up and the other side of the bed is cold. My fingers stretch out, seeking Hannah's warmth but finding only the rough sheets over the mattress. AHAHHAHA hunger games. Okay. So that was supposed to be, obviously, at Kalaloch. It was SOOOOO fun!!! We played on the beach, etc etc. :) If you want, we can email you a link of the facebook pictures. We'll post a few here, too though. There's some good 'uns, but too many to post on here. :)
It was really fun. I'm glad we went. It was fufufufufufnnnninunuun and we played lots of games from "The Games Bible", a really big book on games 'Wes (what we used to call Celeste before we could pronounce her name) gave us for our birthday.
:D
Celeste, on the beach.

We flew our kite! It was SOOO fun!

A master!

Yeah! Papa's a master, too!

A delicious gyro with tzatziki and pita!

Traversing the Logs

Heehee!

Hi!

Starfish!

Lowtide= photos aplenty.

Mama's running memorial driftwood piece.

It's an eagle!

Or a Pipe...

NO! it's a weapon!

Life's Good!

Drying Raney off :)

Aww, aren't we cute?!?

:-) HI! from Sarah and Hannah, flying their kite.

"*seagull noise*"

"So, this little rock...."

Cairn!

Ahahah! Hannah made this poster after taking this heroic photo. :)

Chapter Two: DRIVER'S ED?!?!?!??!?!?!
Hehehehehehehee yesterday we had driver's ed!!!!!!! It was pretty, well, um, it wasn't exactly thrilling but it was fun. Our friends Jessica and Malia were there and our other friend Kristin wasn't but she is enrolled in our class!!! :D :D :D
Afterwards later when we got home, we drove around Pacific View/San Juan neighborhood because it is so generally quiet. We had driven there before, but I wasn't super confident in my abilities. :) BUT THIS TIME... HA! "I laugh in the face of danger." (Nala, The Lion King.) no, but it was SO AWESOME!!! All my turns, which I have trouble with, were good, I did a three point turn, and I went up to 25mph!! :D (A big accomplishment for a newbie like me!) We haven't gone on any big streets yet, but experience comes with time.

Chapter Three: After Driver's Ed.
We spent the whole day doing like, nothing but technology. :( So we decided last night that today would be "Tech-Free". (This blog post, obviously, doesn't count, as it is informative and not just because we're bored. :P) hehehe. So yes. That was our plan.

Chapter Four: Sunny Day today!
 First, we made Crepes!
Préparation

C'est délicieux!

Crêpes avec la sauce au citron, Nutella, ou de la confiture
(Crepes with lemon sauce (our own mixture of fresh lemon and sugar), Nutella, or jam!)

After that, we went outside and blew bubbles!!!!!!!! It was fun and we took a lot of pictures! Some of the photos have different lighting effects because we were playing with the camera settings.

Reba was amused. (not.)

It popped...

*Angels*

*Bingggg*

And after we went to the pool, we used our curly-hair-roler things and did up Sarah's hair!

Purty cool, eh?

 HAPPY DAY!!!!!!!!

Kalaloch/end of school (for us) in 2 days!

Yes, that's right folks, school ends for me and Sarah in TWO days! I can't believe it. It seems every year school gets shorter and shorter, and before you know it, the final days are coming.
Speaking of finals, we have some coming up... in orchestra we are presenting our quartets a little early. I think we'll do pretty well, at least my group! A lot of the time at the end of class we don't feel like there's much else to work on which I suppose is a good thing. :) Also, in french we are presenting a video for our final. It's about us going on a picnic. (Pique-nique. :D I love that.) Why, here it is now!
Un Pique-Nique
Even if you can't understand it, maybe you can get the gist. :)
And we made a typo: It should be Un pique-nique not une pique-nique. But oh well. :)

On Thursday, we are going to Kalaloch, a favorite vacation place. We usually go in the spring, but we were able to get a cabin for right now. :) yayaya!
Us at Kalaloch a long time ago. 2008 I think.

Well, hope you have a good day!

What a wonderful birthday!!!!!! *<:)

What a wonderful birthday it was indeed!

It started with going to school and after hanging around the lockers a little, the girls' friends Kristin and Taylor say (in a very suspicious way) "Let's go on a birthday walk to the student lounge!!" Unknowing in regards to what was about to come, Sarah and Hannah came along. After several awkward moments (for they didn't have a clue what was going on), back at the locker their dear friend Lydia had put up a beautiful display of wrapping paper on the locker with cute little bows and a piece of paper that said, "Happy Birthday Sarah and Hannah! We love you!"

Several hours later, lovely Megan baked some birthday brownies, which were shared among the birthday girls as well as Megan and Lydia. Those famous brownies tasted ever-so-wonderful on this ever-so-wonderful day. After lunch ended, it was back to class.

The twins came home and a little bit later they went on a run at Lake Padden with the XC team. That, too, was fun with the little cupcakes their mom had made. The cupcakes were also in part for the graduating seniors' last run with the team. Then, the large group sang a rallying rendition of "Happy Birthday"!

Once they got home, their good friend Leah brought over balloons and a Menchies gift card! Then, they made gyoza and it turned out delicious! For dessert, they had Tillamook Mudslide ice cream pie. Yum-my!
They opened their presents, to find things like a cartoon-drawing book (Fun!), some clothes (Cute!), pens, highlighters, and planners (EEE!!). Another thing they got was a very cool yet easy to use video software program. They now can do green-screen stuff (I can fly!), and even 3D if they put in the effort!!

These young ladies would like to thank every one who was thinking of them on their birthday, and they had a lovely time.

Anyway, later this afternoon we'll go to the church for the end-o-the-year party for ZOO/ Graceland, so that should be fun. :)

Saturday

We went for a run with Lydia today after we helped out Sehome XC out at the Middle School Challenge run! We handed out fliers and got super stoked for cross country! :)
Afterwards we went to Avenue bread with our dad and then we went to Sweet Art candy shop and got a  little sweet. :)
Oh! And yesterday at Campaigners we made bookmarks. I couldn't find the verse I wanted so I made one at home! I played around with the fonts on Google Docs and it looks like this:
Doesn't it look good? :) It's my favorite verse. (or one of my favorites. I have a few.)
Hope everyone is having a beautious afternoon. :)
