New Design!

So, we changed the design... again!
We really like it.... it looks a little neater- still!- and cute! -and we like the colors! :D :D
We leave tomorrow for the Grand Canyon... I'm so excited!!!
We went on a run/workout with track today at Western's track... we did 400s at our mile pace.... it was sort of difficult but we got the hang of it overtime.
Yesterday night we babysat from 9-12pm. It was hard to stay awake, but we did it! (All those jelly beans and Robin Eggs probably helped. ;) )
Well, please tell us what you think about the blog! Have a good spring break! :)

Good Mornin'!

Hi!
Here is a happy little morning post for you:

Hannah reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix to Sarah in July 2007

So, yesterday Hannah and I made a hANDs TV video about Robert Schumann, a composer. It's for our orchestra, we have a project. It's pretty weird, but it looks professional too. I think we'll get a good grade; apparently there's bonus points if you do a video (as opposed to a PowerPoint).

On Friday, we had a track meet. Hannah and I did a Medley Relay, where it is a 200m, 200m, 400m, and 800m. Hannah did a great job on the 400m, and I passed 2 people in the 800m. It was fun! Our team came in 7th overall (not just in that heat). Relay's are fun!
A smooth hand-off from Hannah, finishing the 400m, to Sarah, starting the 800m.
Then we left to go to our friend's party. It was a sleepover, and it was really fun. We went to go see The Hunger Games. When it was done, Hannah and I both thought that it was a good movie, but that they didn't have enough detail. It seemed like they got every plot, but, especially in District 12 and her past, there could have been more. But we loved it. We went to bed at like 2ish? and left her house at 9:45ish and...

The Girl on Fire!
Later we went back to our house, took a shower, and got ready to go to the movie theater with our youth group, Graceland.... to see the Hunger Games.... AGAIN! We both thought it was a lot better the second time, because we weren't focused on how true it stayed to the book down to the last detail, but it was more like we were actually watching/enjoying a movie vs. critiquing it. And we ate lots of candy. :D

So then last night we went into Hannah's room, Raney and Hannah and I, and we had a little sleepover and listened to music. It was fun. :)

And now it's Sunday, and we slept for almost 12 hours, since we didn't have much sleep after a track meet, intense movie, cake and presents, talking, another movie, and all the other great things that happened over the weekend.

And now for breakfast.

Track meet!!!!!!!!!!!

AWESOME TRACK MEET YESTERDAY!
We were planning on running the 1600m and the 4x4, but our coach signed us up for the 800m, too, so we planned on running that but not really racing.

The 1600 was really fun. Usually, for most people, the 3rd lap is the hardest. For me, it was the 4th lap... I didn't really push as hard as I have before on the 800, which I did in middle school. But it was fun, and I'm glad I did it. My mile time was 6:29.97!!!!! Hannah's was 6:32.44, which is her PR.

Next event was the 800, which Hannah and I decided not to really race, but our coach said it would be cool if we could break 3 minutes. He didn't really expect us to though, since we had just run the mile about 45 minutes before. But my time was 2:59.33, which I am happy about. Hannah's time was 2:59.32! THAT'S CRAZY CLOSE TOGETHER!

Our 4x4 was super super fun! Our friend Sarah was running the first lap, and then she passed to me. The hand off was really good. We all knew our team was the slowest, and we didn't care, but we did really well in the end. I passed off to Hannah, and then she passed off to Lauren, and then she ran the last leg really fast! We ended up somewhat close to the team in front of us, who at one time, was really far ahead. It was so much fun because it all WAS just for fun!.... like, it didn't matter about time or placement, it was all just-- for-- fun! It was awesome. Unfortunately, it's the very last event, so we were there pretty late, but I think it's a really fun one to watch and to compete in.

Well, I am ready to welcome in the new track season!

Hunger Games

I am rereading the Hunger Games and I am almost done with Mockingjay.
My status today on facebook said,

interesting. most interesting indeed... In the hunger games there seem to be many references to bread. "The boy with the bread"; and then all the bread given in the quarter quell from district 3; Panem actually means bread in Latin, as mentioned by Plutarch Heavensbee in mockingjay; the identification peeta lists off in the hunger games of each district's bread; district 11 sends katniss the bread after rue dies... hmm. It appears i am very observant.
Isn't that wierd!!?!?!!??!?!
And all of that is true! It's so...obscure!

Laffeen's Run today!

Today almost as soon as we got up, we decided to go on a run to Laffeen's to get donuts!
We brought $6, but it cost $6.11, so I had to trade my donut for a small one. But that's okay it still tasted really yummy. :D
Anywho, when we ran back it started raining really hard! But we made it all in one piece and even saw 3 deers cross the street!!!
(When this happened, Raney stopped and WOULD NOT MOVE. So I said in a really excited voice, "Mama and Paaaapaaa!!!" and then she started bolting back home. Silly dog. )
Mama and Papa came back last night from Hawaii, and we've just been chillin' at home.

Aaalll-RIGHT!

Wa-hoo, baby!
I (Hannah) got my first sub 7 mile time!!! It was a 6:51!!! I was really happy it was that happy cry-ie (though I didn't) feeling that feels like WOW! I DID IT!! hip hip hooray! We went up to Western's track in all this rain and did a "mile time-trial" (Set up like a race, but not really.) Now I'm thinking I might want to run the mile in a race!
Mama and Papa are coming home late tonight in Seattle so I think we are going to Boomers and then going down there to pick them up!!!
In order to get ready for their arrival, we cleaned... quite a lot, but it went by pretty quickly. :)

Well, today sure has been fun, "and it's only 1:15 in the afternoon!" (Like Eugene saying "and it's only 8 in the morning!"

Dum, de dum dum dum.........

Okay, I don't really have anything to write right (haha) now, but I felt like I needed to do something....
Today I had an ortho appt. and Sarah went to track.
Oh. I just remembered that before spring break we need a concert critique for Orchestra. :| hmm... Don't know when we'll do that. Oops. Well, I don't particularly feel like blogging today but I felt like puttin' up another post. :D

"Quite possibly the best run of my life."

...was my status on Facebook today.

And I mean,
it was awesome.

The pace was at a conversation pace; it felt relaxed, but like a good workout.
I felt like I could conquer every hill, and keep going.
I was never too cold or never too warm.
A perfectly distributed path of mud, gravel, rock, and dirt.

We went up Chuckanut Mountain.
I usually struggle up here because the hills are so long and steep.
But today, today was so wonderfully perfect.

We went with a group of 7, but two of them turned around about half way.
I just kept wanting to go forever!
When we reached the point where we turned around, someone asked, "How do your legs feel?"

My response was, "I really don't know how my legs feel, because my heart is so happy!"

And it was!!

I just kept wanting to run and run. I had that will to run, that desire.

We ran 8 miles today.

When we got back to the school, our coach asked how it felt.
We had run for 30 minutes longer than he told us to; we ran for 1 hour, 30 minutes.
That's a long time!

I quickly and eagerly said, "Oh, it was so wonderful! Out of a ten, I'd give it an eleven!!!"

...And now, we're Track-sters.

Hey folks!
Hannah and I started track on Monday. Thoughts:
  1. Much more intense than XC...
  2. ...it seemed like we jumped into it faster than in cross country.
  3. Fun
  4. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY.... :) Our coach told us that tomorrow, Friday, is going to be an easy peasy day, so we can run to Fairhaven and get some gelato if we bring money. :) hehhehehheheheheh.
 See ya later!
